The BlueDrive Drilling system is a state of the art low voltage fit for purpose marine drives system that is installed on more than 30 drilling rigs world wide by the end of 2010. This system is in constant development to meet the clients specifications and the industry standards. To patents has been filed related to this system for future developement.

His role involves driving the company’s efforts in shaping the future of energy on the continent.
Eugene is an energy industry veteran with 28 years’ experience. He started his career at Schlumberger as a field engineer in 1991 and has worked extensively in Western Canada, Europe, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Prior to joining Baker Hughes, Eugene was Vice-President, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Europe and Africa, Schlumberger based in Paris, France. Before that, for 4 years he led the Schlumberger operations in East Africa (with bases in Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda), during the discovery of large amount of hydrocarbons resources in this region. He built strong local capacity, maintaining strong cooperation with customers and local stakeholders.
Eugene holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. He’s attended professional programs at Harvard University, Colorado State University and IMD Switzerland.
Away from work, Eugene is a keen golfer, with the goal of hitting a single-digit handicap. He’s also passionate about African culture, art and history. He has lived in or visited every hydrocarbon-producing country in Africa. He’s married with lovely children.

AbdulRahman Mijinyawa, (AR), is the Asset Optimization, Digital & Technology Manager for Shell Nigeria E&P Company (SNEPCo), responsible for optimizing production and integrating the company’s digital and technology agenda.
AR, who joined Shell in October 2005 as a graduate engineer, has since been involved in business delivery across the full spectrum of the upstream oil and gas industry, both in Nigeria and the Netherlands: from the Gbaran-Ubie Integrated Oil & Gas Project to business transformation and new business development.
A chemical and petroleum engineer by training, he has authored and co-authored various technical papers that cater to interests within and outside the oil industry.
In addition to spending time with his daughter, reading and boxing, AR has a contagious passion for global trends especially digitalization and the energy transition. He is equally passionate about promoting access to education and is a proud ambassador of Teach for Nigeria, an NGO focused on improving teacher capability in underserved schools in Nigeria.
AR also loves the look of bewilderment on people’s faces when he tells them the meaning of his family name in Hausa.

Starting out as a graduate engineer during the construction of Nigeria LNG’s first two trains, Ekeinde was later seconded as a project engineer to the expansion project NLNG Plus, during which the company’s 4th and 5th trains were designed and constructed. Further assignments in the Shutdown Department, and then rebuilding the site’s reliability function in his first middle management role, completed his technical education. He was then asked to lead the Contracts, Procurement and Material Logistics team, adding the role of Nigerian Content Coordination a little later. After this assignment, led the split of the maintenance and engineering functions and became the company’s first maintenance manager. He later served as Engineering Manager before being appointed General Manager, Technical Services.
Ekeinde has led key corporate activities and initiatives over the years, driving value creation in areas outside his direct remit, these include aggregating all contracting and procurement activities across 6 divisions into one corporate function, the delivery of the Nigerian Content Strategy for the 6 Dual Fuel Diesel Electric (DFDE) ship acquisition review (where he was also a member of the tendering team who negotiated the deal) which delivered in-country capability in manufacturing, design and vessel construction, the Gas Supply Security module of the NLNG Flex strategy review, which laid a foundation for more concrete discussions around the use of alternate gas supply sources. Ekeinde is currently leading the development of technical competitiveness and digital transformation for NLNG.

He is an authority in Digital Oilfields Transformation following series of hands-on project delivery across assets, including assets in Shell. He recently won the 2020 Africa Regional Management & Information Award of Society of Petroleum Engineers International.
He is founding partner of Suneses Energy Limited – a leading Digital Oilfields solution provider.
Emmanuel, has served SPE in numerous capacities, published, presented webinars and several technical papers (with great focus on Digital Transformation) in major conferences worldwide. He is a Registered Engineer and Chairman-Elect, Digital Energy sub-committee, Society of Petroleum Engineers International ATCE 2020 in Denver-USA. He holds BEng, MEng, MBA & PhD (in-view).
