Margaret Nongo-Okojokwu is the editor of Majorwaves Energy Report and a Public Speaker at international oil and gas events.
Having practiced journalism for 9 years, she uses these platforms to promote host community development and inclusion in economic activities by Oil majors and other stake holders in the full value
chain of the extractive industry in Nigeria and some other African countries. She is also a strong advocate for youth empowerment and mentorship for young professionals.
Margaret studied Mass Communication at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, where she obtained a BSc. She later acquired a certificate in Advanced Writing and Reporting Skills from the School
of Media and Communications (SMC), Pan Atlantic University, Lagos,
Nigeria.
She studied Digital Media and Communications in Civic Leadership at the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, University of Nebraska, Lincoln; USA.
Though trained in Cinematography, and electronic media, Margaret found her passion in Print media, as she settled in energy reporting; having had spells in Aviation, Politics, Women and Youth
Development; Lifestyle and Religion.
She served as sub-Editor, Ministers Alive Magazine; Senior Correspondent and Acting Editor at the Nigerian Orient News before 
moving on to Orient Energy Review where she quickly rose to the
rank of Editor. 
With extensive research, robust and objective reportage on issues around local content development, spanning the last nine years, she is well accepted as a voice when opinions on community
development and inclusive local capacities are deliberated in Nigeria.
The relative ease with which Margaret and her team pull off media partnerships and deliver on agreements has led to the brand being in high demand from energy event organisers and subscribers
around the world.
Margaret has engaged in several community services, and has gathered knowledge and exposure on civic leadership at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, USA.
She is a recipient of the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders award. Her work has gotten her recognition by Chevron Nigeria Limited which translated to
scholarship at the Pan Atlantic University; other bodies include OPEC (Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries); NCDMB(Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Boards); PETAN
(Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria); a host of African
development event organisers; Margaret is the immediate past Publicity Secretary of the Mandela
Washington Fellowship Alumni Association of Nigeria (MWFAAN), She is an associate member of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA) and was recently made the West African Representative of the
African Natural Resources Institute (ANRI), Kampala, Uganda.

She is happily married with children.
