Petroleum Commission Ghana to Participate in Sub-Saharan Africa Oil Conference in Houston


Petroleum Commission of Ghana’s participation in the 9th Annual Sub-Saharan Africa Oil & Gas Conference scheduled for April 27 -28, 2016 at Marriott Westchase has been confirmed. Kwaku Boateng, Petroleum Commission’s Director of Special Services will present a keynote paper in the conference. Energy & Corporate Africa the conference organizesr also announced that Milko Binza Moussirou, the managing director of Koval Petroleum Ltd ( Former Chief Business Development Officer of Gabon Oil Company) has also been confirmed as a speaker in the conference.
Kwaku Boateng is an Energy Economist with over 15 years senior management & leadership experience in the oil and gas industry and proven record of Oil and Gas Project Management and Energy Policy formulation. He has an excellent knowledge of the commercial, policy and regulatory issues in the sector. He was a member of the Project Implementation Committee that set up Ghana National Gas Company and prepared the Project Execution Strategy for Natural Gas Project. He later worked with that company as a Senior Manager for Gas Commercialization and Business Development. Earlier on he worked at BOST as the Head Natural Gas Division responsible for the company’s natural gas business development.With over 22 years of oil and gas industry experience, Milko Moussirou worked on Exploration and Development Projects in several countries around the world. At an early stage of his carrier, Milko worked for Shell in Gabon, NAM in the Netherlands and Shell Deepwater Services (SIEP) in Houston, Texas.
Milko started his carrier in Exploration and quickly moved to Oil & Gas Field Development Studies (Technical & Economical evaluation of projects including PSC and Economic screening).
From 2007 to 2011, Milko Moussirou provided Integrated Field Development coaching and training to Shell International E&P and Total Group; Thus, training 150+ people on field integrative opportunity planning across all subsurface, surface, and economic domain around the world... The Netherlands, England, France, Brunei, India, Malaysia, Congo, Nigeria and Oman.
Since 2011, Milko moved back to Gabon to help launch Gabon Oil Company, a newly created State Company. From 3 people, Gabon Oil Company moved to more than 120 employees late 2014 with the full set of Exploration, Development and Production disciplines. In 2013 GOC became the first Gabonese Company to produce Oil in Gabon History.
