It has been fully confirmed that Abiodun Adesanya, president of Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), Bank – Anthony Okoroafor, Chairman of Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN) and Geoff Onuoha, Chairman of Pipeline Professionals association of Nigeria (PLAN) will be presenting core papers at the forthcoming 10th Annual Sub-Saharan Africa Oil and Gas conference scheduled for April 27 -28, 2017 at the Royal Sonesta, Houston.
Adesanya of NAPE will be speaking on how Nigeria can up production and increase investment by opening up new frontiers in Borno, Lake Chad, Anambra basin for investment and how improved security operations favors production latitude.
In a comparative analysis of Nigeria before the signing of the local content Act and now, Bank-Anthony Okoroafor in his paper will show the progress made so far by local companies and the challenges they face. The paper will also elaborate on how the same template could be re- played in other Sub-Saharan African producing nations with some variations for success.
As a bridge between upstream, downstream and the market the use of pipelines in the oil and gas industry has come a long way from the time bamboo were used in China in the transportation of crude. Geoff Onuoha, chairman of Pipelines Professionals’ Association of Nigeria will showcase what small and dynamic local companies have done in pipeline designs, engineering, construction and asset integrity and what the future holds for such enterprises.
